Some countries don’t give their citizen right to live freely. Bad economy condition, political condition, domestic security and even war, can make people want to get out from the country and find another place to live better. Big country like United State of America is one of promising country that will give you better live. You can live freely in United State because this is democratic country. You can speak your mind freely and you can choose your own path to live. Economical condition in U.S also better and in politic, United State has strong influence in the world. It can be so good to become part of this big country. And United State gives opportunity for alien to become citizen of United State of America.
It is not instantly for you to become U.S citizen. It is more then just filling us citizenship application form and you will become U.S citizen, but there are regulations you need to follow. Firstly you need to become permanent resident in U.S with holding green card in your hand. You can apply green card at U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Service (USCIS) or formerly it is named INS (Immigration and naturalization Service). USCIS is available on every state in U.S. Green card will allows you to live and work in United State in permanent basis, but you are still alien and can be remove from America if you cannot fulfill certain condition from federal regulation for permanent resident. After you get green card and live in United State for at least 5 years, then you have the opportunity to apply for us citizenship.
At this point you need to check your eligibility because five years of green card is only one requirement. There are still lots of thing you need to fulfill. For example is that during your five years of green card, you shouldn’t have a trip out of U.S for more than a year, you need to capable of basic English both speak, write and read, you need to have a good moral, you need to stay on the state you apply for citizenship for at least 3 months, you never have immigration problem during your green card period, and much more requirements you need to fulfill. After you fill the application form there is interview you need to attend, they will ask you lots of question to assess your eligibility to become United State.
